A Tribute to our Alumni
Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to meeting the on-going psychological needs of New York City's First Responder community, all Military Service Personnel, and their families. TRR programs have been designed by experts in the field of traumatic stress.
TRR's Warrior Camp®, is a ground-breaking program for active duty military personnel and all combat veterans. Its mission is to create an environment in which the trauma of war can be healed. Warrior Camp is a 7-day long mindfulness-based decompression camp program that integrates three treatment modalities in the context of Community: EMDR Therapy, Yoga, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and, now we have added Narrative Writing Workshops. Camps include a healthy balance of trauma therapies, relaxation and leisure activities.
In our first year of operation we conducted 4 Warrior Camps. Program evaluation is being conducted by Weill Cornell Medical College Department of Public Health. Dates and locations of 2015 WCs are below.
Warrior Camps are for active duty military and ALL combat veterans - we do not exclude anyone from our programs. They are designed to address Combat-related PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma and Moral Injury.
